my eyes confront a heat map
of this nation’s
conflagrations.
My smile is gone in a snap.


Michael J. Leach (@m_jleach) is an Australian academic and poet who lives on unceded Dja Dja Wurrung Country and acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land.
