Our vital signs spring forth
Pastiche, gold-violet lines
plump African bees
cacophony about a temple
hexagonal comb drips
black-eyed lives
ten-thousand hollow tombs
for the sensation in my throat
of your life’s-still nectar
pharaohs sleep in stones
